Terms of Use
Effective August 10, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the SaveSpeak iPhone application, website, processing services, and related features (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully before using SaveSpeak.
1. Agreement and provider
By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using SaveSpeak, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. This agreement is between you and the developer identified as the application provider on SaveSpeak’s App Store product page (“SaveSpeak,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), not Apple Inc. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you. SaveSpeak is not directed to children under 13.
3. What SaveSpeak does
SaveSpeak is a personal record-keeping tool that lets you create financial records by voice, photo, or manual input and view history, balances, categories, widgets, and analytics. The Service may identify amounts, dates, currencies, transaction types, and categories from information you provide.
4. Recognition and accuracy
Speech recognition, optical text recognition, language models, and automated categorization can make mistakes. Accents, background noise, image quality, ambiguous wording, dates, currencies, and third-party service availability may affect results.
- You are responsible for reviewing each amount, category, date, currency, and income or expense classification.
- You must correct or delete inaccurate records before relying on them.
- Analytics, balances, exports, and widgets are calculated from your records and may be wrong when the underlying records are wrong.
5. Local data, exports, and backups
Your financial records are primarily stored on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to the device and maintaining backups of information you cannot afford to lose. Deleting SaveSpeak, deleting its data, restoring a backup, replacing a device, or losing a device may permanently remove or replace local records. CSV import may create duplicates or incorrectly mapped records when source files are incomplete or use an unsupported format.
6. Device permissions and connectivity
Voice entry requires microphone access. Photo entry may require camera or photo-library access. Processing features may require an internet connection and permission to send specified content to our server and disclosed processing providers. Notifications are optional and can be changed in SaveSpeak or iOS Settings. Denying a permission may make the related feature unavailable but does not prevent use of unrelated features.
7. AI and external processing
When you choose voice or photo processing, SaveSpeak may use external speech-recognition and language-model services to convert your input into structured financial records. The data involved, recipients, purposes, and choices are described in our Privacy Policy and in the consent shown before the feature is used. You can withdraw or grant consent again under Settings - AI Processing; manual entry remains available without external AI processing. Do not submit information that you are not authorized to process.
8. Premium features and subscriptions
Some features may require an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
- The exact product name, billing period, price, trial, and included features are displayed before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting SaveSpeak does not cancel a subscription.
- Trials, refunds, billing disputes, price changes, Family Sharing, and restorations are administered under Apple’s applicable rules.
We may change which features are included in Premium, but we will not remove access already required to satisfy an active paid period. Where required, Apple will notify you of subscription price changes and request consent.
9. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service. In particular, you may not:
- use SaveSpeak for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
- attempt to bypass security, usage limits, purchase controls, or access restrictions;
- probe, overload, disrupt, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer or copy the application except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- submit malware or content that violates another person’s privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual-property rights.
10. License and ownership
SaveSpeak grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Usage Rules, including applicable Family Sharing or volume-purchase rules. SaveSpeak, its visual identity, software, design, text, and other materials are owned by or licensed to us. No rights are granted except those expressly stated here.
11. Your content
You retain ownership of information you enter. You grant us only the limited rights necessary to transmit and process selected input when you request a server-assisted feature, protect and operate the Service, and comply with law. We do not claim ownership of your financial records.
12. Third-party services
The Service may depend on Apple services, hosting infrastructure, OpenRouter, and model providers made available through OpenRouter. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and may change, fail, impose limits, or become unavailable. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using those services.
13. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free availability. We may maintain, update, limit, suspend, replace, or discontinue a feature for security, legal, technical, or commercial reasons. We may release updates required for continued operation.
14. Termination
You may stop using SaveSpeak at any time and delete local data from the application. We may suspend server-assisted features or terminate your license if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SaveSpeak and its services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaveSpeak will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, missed payments, tax consequences, or decisions made from inaccurate records. Our aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for SaveSpeak during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
17. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the application provider is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rules in your country of residence continue to apply. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
18. Apple-specific terms
- Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for SaveSpeak or its content, maintenance, support, warranties, or claims.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing product, consumer-protection, privacy, regulatory, and intellectual-property claims relating to SaveSpeak.
- If SaveSpeak fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price where applicable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on a U.S. Government prohibited or restricted-party list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you.
If no custom license agreement is supplied in App Store Connect, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, law, or our providers change. We will publish the revised version and effective date here and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
20. Contact
Questions, complaints, or support requests may be sent to support@savespeak.com. The application provider’s legal and contact information will also appear on SaveSpeak’s App Store product page.
